I have two of these already and are adding two more. They work must better and faster than wireless and have a capacity of 11 sling links at once.
When you change the channel, this action will change the channel at the host location as well. So, if I change the channel to ESPN at work, my wife at home would be forced to watch ESPN too.
You are better off buying a wireless bridge. However it only works if it is run on the same circuit. This product works. I used it for one day with a really long extention cord to see if it worked and it did but I had to be on another outlet in the same room. For example most houses have a fuse box with multiple breakers. If they are on two different breakers it will NOT work. So do your reserch first check your fuse box to make sure that the two places you want to plug in are on the same fuse. Hope this helps.
I'm in an older apt unit with 2 rooms. Unfortunately, it degrades the signal so much that you can't remotely access the slingbox. I'm glad i read the other review and bought it at Best buy and was able to return it same day
No need to run cable, just plug one of the unit, 2 are included, into a 120V socket and the other the same where you need the internet, and bingo, you have it. I have used this item for about a month. It functions just as described. Couldn't be easier. Highly recommend this unit and system.
